I want to know whats going to happen with Kraven, I really liked him. I'd say Erika and him meet up and scheme up something together...to get back at Selene maybe? As in the book he does speak of finding Erika and using her infatuation to get away and help him stay hidden from Vampire and Lycan alike... -Marcus-

I have not read the book yet, does it go into more detail about characters than the film did? Also does it have any events that in the movie we did not see?

Yes, it shows a softer side of Selene that wasn't represented much in the film, also MUCH more of Erika's past and personality... There are a few events that were not in the film that are in the book...they are, ok.

Cool, I found that in the film I never truly understood who Erika was. Who wrote the book may I ask, did they work alongside the writers of the script or was it independant of them?

Greg Cox was the author. The book is based on the original script... I don't think he worked on the script...but I could be wrong...the 'screenplay' was by Danny McBride...

Grag Cox had no involvement with the script production for the first book, but for the next book called 'Underworld-Blood Feud' you can estimate roughly when the script for the movie sequel will be finished as I think Greg is working closely with the script writers this time. There have been a number of delays with the book release tho. I've been checking amazon for a while on the books release date and it was estimated at May 2004, then Oct 2004 and now some places are showing Dec 2004 as the release date. Hard to tell.

Do you think that after this trilogy is done that they will still make movies based in the world of Underworld. Because I don't think this trilogy will end with the destruction of either race. And it would be cool to see some other stories in other countries with new characters, I can just see the English countryside being stained red with blood. ;D

There's actually a debate at my forum about whether the second book is part of a Underworld based series or the movie sequel.
Anywayz I'm sure they won't let the Underworld world die. There are so many characters stories to be told =)

Sadly enough it all depends on how well the movies/books/merchandise fares with the consumers and not how good the actual thing is...
If Underworld 2 doesn't open well then we can kiss 3 and any possible spin-off goodbye....

I don't think Underworld will go down the crapper. It is kinda like the Night of the living dead trilogy, it has a cult following, we know it isn't the best movie ever but for some reason we love it, because it has not been done before. I think it will do well opening weekend...I hope.

Yeah, true, I'd probably end up doing a movie basied in the world of Underworld, I already have ideas for some World of Darkness stories, getting there about an Underworld one, and my personal fav, ATTACK OF THE EVIL BIKER ZOMBIES FROM HELL! I just have to get around to writing them and taking them to a studio in a few years, which is good because fox studios is only a 3 hour trip away

I think that Marcus will be a hybrid and I hope he and Erika get together. I think that'd be an interesting couple. Marcus will probably hunt Selene and Michael who are either on the run or have joined the lycans. I bet Lucian will be back, somehow, as a hybrid.

I think that Marcus will be a hybrid That already happened in the first film and book. and I hope he and Erika get together. I think that'd be an interesting couple. Kraven will come for her. He's incompetent on his own. I bet Lucian will be back, somehow, as a hybrid. That'd be VERY bad...he died, thats that. Its in the book. He was a good character but bringing him back wouldn't make any sense...he was only stayed alive so his objective could be completed and it was. Viktor was killed, no more need for Lucian.
