Hello, I am Starting up an Underworld setting RPG play by e-mail on Yahoo groups. There will be 3 groups, Mortals, Lycan and Vampire. Plus a 4th for all to read should the paths of players cross. It will be using a modified game system based on white wolfs world of darkness. Players will be asked to submit actions 4 times a week. one on one day, then rest the next day and post the day after that etc. so I can work out what happens mostly that will be for combat or difficult tasks. I will explain more via e-mail for anyone who is interested, if you are leave a post here with contact details, or drop me a line at Sausage_Demon@hotmail.com they will be invite only so email is a must if you want to join. Cheers folks. ;D

Ahhh, you don't need to. I will be GM-ing the game, all you have to do is RP ;D. I take care of all the rules business behind the scenes, it's a very simple system anyway and is mainly an RP system than a "Gaming" system, I'll keep a record of players character sheets and abilities as will the players. If your interested just leave us your e-mail and I'll send the details when I am done ;D.

ok, I can't send the rules because of copyright, but here is all you need to know, if you say want to jump a large wall, you would look at your jump stat, see how many points are on it, then roll that many 10 sided dice, you have to get a certain number of over on a dice to succeed, this number is known as the difficulty rating or DR, for each success you roll the better you perform, for each failure you roll you minus one of the successes: eg: I have 5 points in jump, the DR is 4, I roll 5 dice, I get a 4, 5, 3, 8, 2. which means I tally up 3 succeses and 2 failures so each failure cancels a success, so I get a total of 1 success which means i just managed to jump the wall. The better the success the more efficiently you do the said task. However too many 1's and it's a critical failure which is bad, but lots of 10's and it's a critical success! thats the basics in a nutshell.

Does that mean we need to go out and buy a lot of ten-sided dice? It's kind of confusing to me. Where will all the information be held?

Oh no, you need nothing more than a computer. I will be running the game feeding the players the story and playing the NPC's etc. I do all the rolling here and tell you the results when I next post. Don't worry, I will be fair with the dice, it's no good to me if i kill my players is it? ;D

Yeah I'll probably put this one in the links section of the board, ;D Well the world of darkness game system is a pen and paper rpg system, it saves people making the hard decisions about how badly their char is hurt in a fight and stuff...and it's balanced. is all good.

"Okay, so when do you think you'll start?"
Yeah, I'd like to see it in action. I'm not sure I'd be willing to play all the time, but I would like to see the game actually played.
